Sooo good! You can choose what goes into your calzone and what kind of sauce you want to use!

My buddy and I ate here for an afternoon lunch. The restaurant was about half full, and very little wait to order. Once seated, we got our food hot and fresh about 15 minutes after ordering. I ordered the Meat me in St. Louie, which was delicious! It was cheesy, had a great crunch, and the meats were fantastic. My friend ordered the Italian salad, which he loved. Service was super friendly and helpful. The restaurant itself wasn't too loud and made for a nice environment for a business lunch. We really enjoyed this spot!

If you haven't eaten here then you are truly missing out! The food is amazing, the staff is incredibly friendly, and the DESSERT is to die for!!

I actually found this place on Yelp believe it or not. I work off of Olive Dr. in STL and was looking for something new to try when this gem popped up. I went online to check it out and they had a special going called the Don Corlezone and figured why not, and I ordered it for takeout from the Creve Coeur location. Fabulous, I couldn't believe what I have been missing all along, the food is delicious, the staff is super friendly, and one of the owners happened to be there during my visit. He was very nice and asked me to join the rewards program. My original visit was in June of 23' now its February of 24' and this is a very frequent visit for me at lunch when I have to go to the office. The quality of the food, the friendliness of the staff, and overall experience is CONSISTENT and FANTASTIC. The restaurant is always clean and has a cool vibe to it for those who like to eat in. If you haven't heard of, or tried this place, give it a go, you will be SO glad you did.

Visiting family from out of town and I always request a Sauce on the Side stop! I always love the calzones and the chill counter order / table delivery service is fine with me. Great place to take your family for a week night dinner!

I came here on Tuesday night after work. The vibe is fast casual and easy. The service was quick, the salad came out within 5 minutes of ordering. I love their salads. I got the Caesar salad, it's simple but love it. Courtons are homemade! I got the Fatty B calzone which was equally as good, I could only eat half.

This restaurant specials in Calzones with........yep, you guessed it, sauce on the side. They do not have much on the menu outside of calzones, salads and bite sides. They also have local sodas, beer and wine to wash your food down. Be on the lookout for their special calzone. You can get one of their signature calzones or you can build your own. They have a large dining area that is very clean and patio seating on the sidewalk in the front and side of the building. The staff there was friendly and courteous. There is metered street parking available in front of the restaurant and within a reasonable walking distance. Avoid the urge to park in the adjacent neighborhood because you may get ticketed. I ordered the special calzone, the Hot Honey Bird. It took about 15 minutes for me to get my food. It was very fresh. It was pretty good and the calzone was stuffed. I could not eat it by hand and had to use a knife and fork. The sauce on the side made it that much better.Surprisingly, the calzone filled me up. I could barely finish it. I almost got a side. I am glad that I didn't. This is a nice small local calzone restaurant. I enjoyed my meal here and I am sure that you will too.

From Chicago, my daughter took me here for dinner. I thought I knew what calzones were... until today! I ordered the Fatty B (5/5). The crust is super flaky and good! It had a different kind of cheese than I'm used to but the sausage and pepperoni were tasty. And it was very filling! You get a dip with your choice of calzone. My daughter got the garlic butter sauce and it was good. I got the spicy red sauce and I thought it might be too spicy, but it wasn't, quite good. They also have an interesting selection of fountain drinks--root beer, lemon lime, and black cherry : ) This is a cool place with great ambiance (5/5). Definitely worth trying. Highly recommended!

I have been a regular at Sauce on the Side for a couple years now, and they never disappoint! I can't say enough great things about this place! Their Clayton and Downtown locations are both wonderful, but I usually visit this location because of its proximity to SLU. The inside of this location is very spacious and has lots of tables. Employees are always very friendly, helpful, and hardworking! They are also very patient when you're feeling indecisive about which calzone flavor you want to try! They have so many delicious options to choose from, and each type of calzone has something different to offer. Although they have lots of great options, I am very loyal to the Roasty Toasty. I highly recommend if you're a pesto lover like me! Meat Me in St. Louie and Cock-A-Doodle Noodle are very popular, too. They also have a yummy Caesar Salad!

There are a variety of calzone chains out there, but if you're in STL you MUST visit Sauce on the Side! This is a staple when I visit the area and have even been known to drive one out to the St. Louis suburbs to celebrate a birthday. MEAT ME IN ST. LOUIE: If someone asked me what STL tastes like, I'd have to reference "The Lou". The diverse grind of sausage and pepperoni topped with Imo's proprietary cheese blend, Provel, all wrapped in an arch shaped package. BEVERAGES: The beverage opportunities are just as diverse as the calzone fillings. If you'd like to wash this all down with local, cane sugar soda favorites from Excel Bottling https://excelbottling.com/soda/, you have all the options. Local favorite, Ski (Caution, 69 mg of caffeine), is where it's at for me. ;-) Maybe you'd like a yeasty beverage or glass of wine? Sauce on the Side has 'em all! *Next time I'm gonna try yelper Heer S.'s recommendation for the caesar salad. Sounds delish!
